ENDOWMENT LECTURES

An International Hydrological Decade (IHD) endowment lecture programme is conducted once in two years by the Centre, inviting eminent engineers and scientists from within India and abroad, related to various topics of water resources engineering and water management. So far, nineteen such IHD endowment lectures were organized. The list speakers are given below:

Dr. L. Jayasekhar endowment lecture was created in memory of Dr. L. Jayasekhar who served as Irrigation Sociologist in the Centre for Water Resources, Anna University during 1995 to 2001. Two lectures were organized; first lecture was delivered by Er. M. Dheenadhayalan, Engineer - in Chief, WRO, PWD in the year 2004 and the second lecture was given by Dr.D.Sundaram, Former Professor of Sociology, University of Madras, Chennai in the year 2012. Due to administrative reasons Dr. L. Jayasekhar endowment was merged with the IHD endowment in the year 2013.
